The urban tradition of the movement culture Art du Déplacement (also known as Parkour) meets here the stage space of the theatre. This performance developed from the perspective of the art of locomotion and seeks expressions of a personal vision of this art of movement. In the process, the four artists create their own stage space: a structure made of bamboo poles, musical and physical interactions. The performers Steven Koglin and Lukas Schapp enter into a relationship with this constantly changing space from various perspectives and on different levels. They shape it, reinterpret it, are in dialogue with it and themselves, cooperate, come into play with each other, grow with each other.
Steven Koglin and Lukas Schapp have been running the Potsdam in Motion Academy since 2014, which teaches parkour, slackline and movement in urban space. In their first artistic production of their own, they combine elements from architecture, music and art du déplacement and explore the question of how risk is a question of perspective. When is it worth taking the plunge?
